Ryan Hahn is Owner and Lead Strategist at Strategic School Consultants. Over the past 20 years, he has served public and independent schools on the west coast, providing counsel and partnership to develop their organizational strengths, improve relationships, build capacity, and implement strategic change.
Throughout his career, Ryan’s work has focused on developing efficiencies in school operations, transportation routing, bell time modeling, facilities planning, operations management, and technology through the collection and use of data to determine potential avenues for system improvement.
Ryan is a former long-time Director of Transportation, Maintenance, Operations, and Safety, having served schools in Washington, Oregon, and California. He has an intimate knowledge of applicable laws, policies, and procedures with extensive hands-on experience implementing system-wide change management initiatives and improving organizational health and culture. He provides leadership and development training to school operations administrators and support staff, including management-level coaching.
Ryan offers a unique, hands-on approach to working through tough organizational challenges. A specialist in project and change management, he finds solutions to complex human relations issues and completes large-scale projects with positive stakeholder involvement, all while providing the organization with clear direction and vision for the future.
Ryan holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration and has training in change management, project management, and student equity initiatives. Ryan completed the FCMAT (Fiscal Crisis and Management Assistance Team) Chief Business Official mentor training program in the spring of 2023. Ryan writes articles for School Transportation News and speaks at national industry events on topics related to school transportation and safety.
